Big Update

littlelostsoul9Okay, so to start: Grrrr... Stupid electrician guys came to fix something and I forgot about that. So I was in the middle of an update, went to school, figured I'd finish it later, and then came home to find that the computer had been turned off. So now I have to re-write my entry. Winter break. Okay. Summary. First:
It was the best one of the three. The music was wonderful. Loved everybody singing... Merry and Pippin's song in Rohan... Pippin's song for Denethor...Aragorn's song at the end... It was all just awesome.
I was a little disappointed that they didn't have some scenes in there. Especially the healing scenes and the relationship between Eowyn and Faramir and stuff. So I'm just really hoping it'll be on the extended edition...
So, the beginning was great, with Smeagol's deterioration into Gollum. And I liked in his narration when he said, "We wept to be so alone." because that was in the Gollum song at the end of TTT.
I loved all of the Frodo and Sam scenes... Poor Frodo, becoming so obsessed with the Ring... and then the scene when Frodo tells Sam to leave... And the whole Mount Doom sequence... "I'm glad you're with me, Samwise Gamgee. Here at the end of all things." Oh, God, I cried... And when Sam thought Frodo was dead after he fought Shelob and he said, "Don't go where I can't follow." More tears...
The Grey Havens was absolutely heartbreaking... And I was so mad when I saw it last night, because I'm sitting there crying and my brother's sitting next to me munching noisily on popcorn. And someone laughed when Merry was crying! Stupid people...
The Paths of the Dead was cool. And them attacking the oliphaunt during the battle, swarming up on it, that was cool.
Loved when the Nazgul were attacking at the end and then the moth showed up and then the eagles came.
(And sorry that I keep skipping around so much. I just keep remembering things in random order.)
I liked the scene with Arwen seeing Aragorn with Eldarion, even though it wasn't in the books, it was still nice.
I liked how much of the Ring sound was in this movie. That sound when someone's being drawn to the Ring, the low rumbling whoosing ghostly voice thing... it draws you into the movie so much. That was nice.
I liked Pippin lighting the torch and then seeing it travel all the way to Rohan. That was cool.
And Pippin and the Palantir! I've been waiting for this forever and it was so adorable and cute and sad. Poor Pippin, crying and everything. And then when Gandalf's going to take him to Minas Tirith and Merry's mad at him, and Pippin's saying "But you're coming with me?", and Merry's all mad, and Pippin says, "I'm sorry, alright?" Awwww.... And then Merry saying, "I don't know what's going to happen..." Oh, it was all just so sad and cute...
And then when Pippin finds Merry on the battlefield...
And when Pippin gets the Gondorian armor... "I imagine this is just for ceremonial use. They don't actually expect me to fight, do they?" So cute.
And Merry with his Rohan armor, so excited to go out and fight.
Okay, so anyway, I loved it. It was awesome. I've seen it three times already, and I hope I get to see it a hundred more. End of story.
