You write angst, angst, and more angst. For you, a
story isn't a story unless someone gets
molested/tortured/humiliated/abused. That's
okay, though; nobody writes angst better than
you! Not only that, but your plotlines, however
dark, are quite often very original. Those who
can stomach what you dish out will gladly
attest to your greatness and brilliance. Some
might even call you a god! A rather cruel god,
but a god nonetheless. Your writing is probably
hauntingly beautiful, and someone who's read
your stuff will never forget it.

Goddammit. My journal didn't update...

Okay, so Viggo is on Regis and Kelly tomorrow morning. REMEMBER TO TAPE IT!
Go to TORn when you get home and look at all the pretty pictures and stuff.
Go to Yahoo!Images --> Viggo Mortensen --> page 6 --> white tux premiere pic --> has lots of good pics of actors n stuff.

And hopefully this will work. Otherwise I'll be really pissed off.

Oscars!

(Oh my god... there's a spider on the floor... Die, child of Shelob!)

Okay, so I was happy happy happy that ROTK won everything, only I think what they should've done is made like a big masterpiece award for ROTK and then other people could've won in the categories ROTK was nominated for, too. Either that or have second place or something. Because if this hadn't been ROTK year, there were a lot of good movies that deserved awards, too. Oh well. I'm still happy.
Sooooooo glad that Into the West got best song. Except that I felt bad for poor Annie Lennox. She was nervous, she sounded like Enya when Enya sang "May It Be" in 2002. Both wonderful songs on the soundtrack, but not very good in live performances.
Watched the E! preshow rerun last night w/ Joan Rivers. My god, that woman's annoying. I wish she would ask them more about the movies instead of "Who are you wearing? Who are you wearing? Who are you wearing?" And then she saw the hobbits on the red carpet and said, "Come over here, Lord of the Rings people," and had them introduce themselves! I mean, she could at least know who Elijah Wood is. But it was funny. Sean talking to his brother on the cell phone. "He says, take off the glasses. Okay, that's better."
And Dom tickled Billy's chin and Billy said, "Get off," all annoyed-like. Yay for that little RPS-y moment. ^_^
Johnny should've won for Best Actor. Or Bill Murray. I loved him in Lost in Translation. Stupid Sean Penn... I mean, I guess I can't judge, because I haven't seen Mystic River yet, and he was good in the clips that I saw, but still... And Bill Murray looked so disappointed.
Keisha Castle-Hughes or Samantha Morton should've won Best Actress... but I didn't see Monster, either, so maybe Charlize was good.
Oh, and like [livejournal.com profile] bishiefishie said, Keisha was so cute: "Who do you wanna meet the most?" "Johnny Depp." "Why?" "Because he's a stud."
And then the guy introduced her to Johnny and they were both like, "Hi... Nice to meet you... Hi... Congratulations... Hi..."
(Whale Rider was on Oxygen last night! Didn't get to watch the whole thing, though...)

Anyway, that's my general Oscar summary, I think. Need to go find lots of pretty pictures when I get home. Now, off to school!

YAY!

I'm so happy. Even though I had to do a project and write an essay yesterday, and even though I think my essay's crap, and even though I didn't get to sleep last night until 12:30, I'm so incredibly happy that it won everything! They deserved it.

Alright, I think I've decided what classes I'm taking next year:
AP English
Government
Trig/Math Analysis
Physics
Japanese 3
Latin 1
AP Psychology

Really don't want to take the math or science, but I want to get the advanced diploma so I have to... -_- And I wish I could just take the equivalency test and go straight from Japanese 2 to Japanese 4 to get away from the stupid people in my class, but sensei said that you learn a lot of stuff in Japanese 3 and it would be hard to do. Hey, Bethy or Tim or someone in Japanese 3, what d'you think? If I studied the Japanese 3 book for like the rest of the year, could I do it? Because that'd be really cool if I could go straight to Japanese 4.

Anyway, I'm in journalism again and we have a substitute so we're not doing anything... Oh wait, we never do anything. This should be called LJ-updating class and not Journalism. We've been working on our little 9th and 10th grade newspaper for months and we're still not done. I think it was supposed to be finished in January, and here it is the end of February and we still haven't finished it.

Okay, that was a little creepy. The school computer guy just came in and walked around the room and I'm sitting here updating my journal... eep.

Hidalgo comes out next weekend. Yay for the Viggo-ness of it all. Hopefully I'll get to go see it and next weekend will be infinitely better than this weekend's going to be. I have to do a history project, a Japanese project, and an English essay, all due next week and none of which I've even started working on. Damn my habit of procrastinating! The history project's really quite stupid, though. I have to make a "visual essay," which is basically printing out a bunch of pictures and then writing one thesis sentence on the back on what I think was the most important aspect of the late 1800's. All it's going to do is waste a lot of my printer ink and paper... I don't see why I can't just write a normal essay. It'd be so much easier and so much faster and require so much less cutting and pasting and generally being creative.

Stayed after for Book Club yesterday and misssed GSA, I think. What'd we do? Book club was fun, though. We watched Cold Comfort Farm, which I haven't seen in a long time, and it was funny. Although my mom got a bit mad at me that I stayed until after the buses had left to finish the movie and she had to come pick me up... This is why I wish I could drive... Should've gotten my permit a lot earlier.

Is anyone else sick of winter yet? I just want it to be warm, so I can maybe try going outside and being human instead of staying in the computer room all day... and I'm sick of wearing all these layers that are so big and bulky. Dumb jacket always gets tangled up in my backpack straps somehow and it's reeeally annoying.

Good god, these people are loud and obnoxious... And I'm having fun trying to catch up on reading Oh My Gods! I'm almost to September of 2003. Woohoo.

I'm ready to go home and sleep now. Okay, yeah, now I've come to the point where I'm just saying stuff just to say something. So maybe I should go ahead and update my journal, yeah?

*goes to study for Japanese test*

What am I doing with my life? I've just spent the past hour and a half looking throughg 500 Lord of the Rings pictures. Is that pathetic?
And I have no idea what's going on. I'm supposed to be a copy editor or something for journalism and I'm not doing anything with that. I still can't decide what electives I want to take next year. I don't really do any after school stuff. It's all so stupid.
And I have this horrible writer's block and I'm really in the mood to write some RPS but I always feel like everything I write is crap compared to everything else I read.
And what am I going to do with my life? Are you supposed to know what you want, or is life really a kind of take things as they come thing? It's all so confusing and scary...

Okay, so now that I've brought up the whole classes thing again, what should I take for my electives next year?
-Chinese
-Latin 1 and AP Psych
-Latin 1 and Philosophy/Comparative Religion
-AP Psych and Philosophy/Religion
Those are my options and I can't decide which one I want to do.

So, this weekend I went on a mini shopping spree: Bought the Lost in Translation DVD and the Benny and Joon DVD and two Coldplay CDs.
Friday night we went out to eat at Red Robin. Yummy!
Saturday I went to get a haircut, which I was pleased with, but I can never seem to make it look as good as the hairdresser does, so that's a bit annoying. She made it all cool and flippy in the back and today it just looks blah.
Saturday afternoon I went to Ruby Tuesday with my mom and grandma. More yummy food.
Saturday night Rachel spent the night and we had a mini deppathon. Watched What's Eating Gilbert Grape? and Sleepy Hollow, and this morning we watched Edward Scissorhands. Me and my dad just went to see In America. It was really good...
And now I'm sitting here instead of doing my homework and wondering how I'm gonna find an English connection between now and Tuesday...
littlelostsoul9: (Default)
Okay, so my computer at home doesn't have the scary virus anymore, I hope. Yay! I have my life back.
That's really quite pathetic, isn't it? That almost every aspect of my life has something to do with the computer...

And now I'm in journalism and it's quite boring, and I think I've decided that I'm not taking this class next year. Maybe I'll help after school sometimes, but I really don't want to take this class again.

Is an 1190 a bad SAT score? I got a 540 on math and a 650 on writing, and I'm not sure if I like that score. I really don't want to take them over again, but I might have to...

I need to write a story... Was working on a OB/VM ficlet a few days ago and I haven't finished it yet. I need a song for Viggo to sing to Orli and I can't think of a good one. I was gonna have him sing an Elvish song at first, but that leaves me with only two options: the song to Tinuviel in FOTR extended, or Aragorn's Coronation song... and both of those are kinda short...

Yay. Just re-visited LEAF (a learning elvish website), which I haven't been to in a looooong time. Maybe I'll try to visit that more often and actually learn Quenya. I wonder if anyone remembers me on there... I used to post there, not a whole lot, but I did actually post, which is more than what I do on most groups I join. Usually I'm a lurker.

And it's half an hour later and we're still not doing anything in journalism. Guess I'll go see if I can do anything useful... Otherwise, I'll be back here updating in another few minutes! ^_^

WHAT IS YOUR STATE OF LIFE?
brought to you by Quizilla

pink
Pink: You have a very loving nature. Friendship and
loyalty are two things you value very much. You
love to be in love and people love being in
love with you! Confidence is yours no matter
what. You have such a caring personality, and
you probably have no trouble getting friends
because everyone is friends with you! You are
warm to everyone, and hardly ever judge people.
People are drawn to you because of your
kindness.

So yeah, [livejournal.com profile] bishiefishie just wrote a very amusing entry. And I have nothing to say now, except for Depp be with you. And I want your Edward Scissorhands drawing, Rachel. It's so cuuuuuuuuuuuute.......
Yay! I get Edward.
And I'm scared. Kowai kowai kowai. People in class are talking about sex ed and artificial insemination and it's all just rather frightening.
Let's name the bishies, the bishies, the bishies! Let's name the bishies that live in my head! (or in the sea, if they're merman bishie type peoples...)
And more boredom. And we're supposed to do something in this class but we never do anything and my hand is falling off the desk.
And Rachel sings:
Namae no bishii no bishii no bishii! Namae no bishii o hanashimashou!
See Billy Boyd sing! Scroll down to Feb. 9th - Billy Boyd Concert Performance.
Bye.
